2020 RCS Show Guide
Get your students and children excited about, and involved in, this year’s Career Symposium by participating in an ongoing program. This site is designed with input from many other educators and counsellors to develop a set of useful tools and activities for educators to help students plan for the event, and ultimately their careers.
How to prepare for the Symposium:

Once your students and children have registered for the symposium, keep checking this website for updates on our lists of exhibitors, speakers, times and room numbers.
A lunch area is available for students on the third floor of the RBC Convention Centre next to the Exhibitors, so students can stay on-site all day (9am-3pm) during the two-day event without needing to leave the premises.
Students should be well prepared when asking questions to speakers and to exhibitors. Subject area teachers should request a written assignment from each student. A follow-up class at school would assist the teachers in evaluating the effectiveness of the Symposium.
Resources for Educators
Career Cruising provides access to assessment tools, detailed occupation profiles and comprehensive post-secondary education information to help students and job seekers move seamlessly through the career exploration and planning process. At the same time, they can have access to the real-time information and the statistics they need to track progress and achievement.
Manitobans may obtain a user name and password to access the Career Cruising website by contacting one of the following agencies listed in the links below;
- Middle Years Schools and High Schools – Students please contact your school guidance counsellor. Information can also be shared with parents.
- Adult Learning Centres and Adult Literacy Programs
- Manitoba Employment Centres for all Manitoba residents
For those attending a college, university or other post-secondary institutions user ID and passwords can be obtained from your local school counselling office.
The use of the Career Cruising website has been made possible for Manitobans with the support of sponsors.

MANITOBA CAREER PROSPECTS
The Manitoba Career Prospects program is a way to connect business and industry to educators, parents and students. Educators and school counsellors can engage with a variety of Manitoba industry sectors to facilitate effective career awareness and career exploration opportunities for youth.
The Manitoba Career Prospects website www.manitobacareerprospects.ca is a portal to connect educators, school counsellors, parents and students to information on Manitoba’s leading industry sectors. The website also features employer profiles, career profiles and career information videos. Manitoba Career Prospects delivers career awareness events such as the Opening Doors Parents Career Expo, and participates in Take Our Kids to Work Day.
Manitoba Career Prospects is a program coordinated by Manitoba’s industry sector councils and supported by sponsors. Industry sector councils are committed to ensuring a strong, local and diverse workforce, making Manitoba a great place to live and work.
Recognizing that advanced/pre-paid student entrance fees for wrist bands are discounted, it is strongly recommended that Schools not cancel. School information and the number of students expected, are sent out to all Exhibitors and Speakers: they are expecting and are prepared for your participation at the Rotary Career Symposium.

3. Registrants who register and do not attend No Refund
No refunds will be provided for 15 or less wrist bands.
Refunds will not be handed out at the Symposium. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. Cheques will be distributed within a month following the Symposium.
